I am an Army veteran and a mother of two active-duty soldiers. My daughters were in basic training, preparing to use baby wipes for personal hygiene during their field training exercise. I observed that the 2026 warfighter is still relying on the same military hygiene tactics as those used by soldiers in the 1990s.
I created Gear Soap initially when my son-in-law was deployed to Afghanistan. He faced a challenge familiar to every warfighter: maintaining field hygiene is heavy, messy, and a logistical nightmare. Traditional soap bars become a gooey mess in a ruck, and liquid soap bottles often leak, wasting precious space and adding weight. After use, service members are left carrying dirty, used baby wipes until they find a disposal site. In an environment where ounces equal pounds, and pounds mean pain, military hygiene has lagged behind.
I engineered a disruptive solution: a 1.5in x 1.5in water-soluble soap sheet infused with premium Goat's Milk soap. It’s ultra-light, zero-waste, and conveniently fits in a uniform pocket.
This isn’t just a concept; Gear Soap has been battle-tested in Afghanistan and field-tested in South Carolina, Virginia, and Georgia. It is currently utilized by active-duty soldiers in Hawaii and Kansas.
Gear Soap is designed to ensure that the modern-day warfighter, outdoor enthusiast, and anyone who values hygiene!
